Hobart

05.01.2011
There is no official program on our first whole day here in Hobart. As we found a laundry yesterday at Salamanca Market we decide to use the morning hours for washing our clothes. In the afternoon we start for the long walk to the Hobart Botanical Garden. A part of the way leads along the Soldiers Walk. Between 1918 and 1919 520 trees have been planted to remind of the men of Hobart that were killed in World War I. Badges with the name of each of them additionally maintain the memory.

At night I am completely tired out due to the long walks today so I am not able to pull myself together and go out for dinner. Gernot gets something to eat in a Malaysian take-away.
